National Grid has released a second batch of 22 sites on the market, in order to concentrate on its higher-value developments.
The company is looking to dispose of the 21.3 acres in England and Wales for around £3m before the end of its financial year in March 2012.
Sites it has instructed Savills to sell in its Project Aspen portfolio, include 4.3 acres at Barrington Road, Goring-by-Sea in West Sussex, and 0.52 acres in Cranbrook, Kent.
The release of buildings and sites comes four months after Savills was appointed to sell 23 sites as part of the first stage of National Grid’s disposal project.
Of this £2.5m UK Project Miller project, 16 of the sites are now under offer, with all transactions expected to be complete by the end of the year.
It is anticipated that the company will release a similar size tranche of buildings every six months under different marketing names for the foreseeable future.
