NatPower could scrap power station
National Power, the electricity generator fighting a potentially hostile bid from Americas Southern Electric, is on the verge of abandoning its controversial £450m project to burn Orimulsion – dubbed the worlds filthiest fuel – at its Pembroke power station in Wales. The move could affect up to 1,000 jobs and result in the closure of the power station.
