Inward investment agencies and local businesses are supporting a £500,000 campaign which starts this week to bolster the perception of Merseyside.
It is designed to counter the negative image of Merseyside such as that portrayed by TV series Mersey Blues. It is claimed the series undermined efforts to attract new businesses into the area because its portrayal of Liverpool as crime-ridden and lacking in opportunity.
The campaign will highlight the attractions of relocating to the area.
