Get Living’s chief executive Neil Young is to leave the build-to-rent operator after six years.
Executive chairman Rick De Blaby will take over leading the organisation when Young leaves in the coming weeks. Get Living has not announced any plans to replace his position.
Young has been involved with the company since 2011, originally in a consultancy role and then as chief executive from 2014. He has grown its portfolio to more than 8,000 homes in London, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.
He said: “Innovation is my passion and to have led the disruption of the UK rental market through initiatives such as not charging fees, long-term tenancies and scrapping deposits, has been fantastic.
“Now Get Living has reached a significant scale, it is an appropriate time for me to look for new opportunities to put my creative skills to work in new and established ventures.
Get Living has plans to deliver 12,500 homes within five years, with plans to expand in the capital as well as new market regional markets including Birmingham.
