Luxury department store chain Neiman Marcus has filed for bankruptcy protection in the US.
The Dallas-based retailer has started Chapter 11 proceedings after agreeing to cede control to creditors in exchange for eliminating $4bn of debt.
The company has 44 stores in the US.
The investor will take over the portfolio of 25 prime London assets
