The head of Nelson Bakewell’s Edinburgh office has left the firm.
Will Marchington is the latest director to quit the company since it entered talks to sell itself to CB Richard Ellis in January. The deal collapsed on 29 April.
Marchington’s departure follows that of investment director Mark Woodrcraft, who quit the Edinburgh office last week.
Marchington will be replaced as office head by director Andrew Holden.
Holden, who has been with the firm for over 14 years said: “Having spent the last six years working regularly from the Edinburgh office with a great group of people the challenge now is to continue to expand our service offering at the highest level.”
NB managing director Mike Hatt ‑ who was given full executive control of NB by major shareholders Phillip Nelson and Simon Bakewell after the sale collapsed ‑ announced a series of appointments this afternoon.
Charles Dunsford has been appointed to head NB’s City of London office. Jonathan Lovejoy, recently promoted to director in property management, is moving from the firm’s West End office to head NB’s Manchester office.
Lovejoy said “Nelson Bakewell has long had a physical presence in the region but the work we have been doing there over the past 12 months has been expanding at a terrific pace and I am looking forward to joining the Manchester team to help them develop further”.
Further promotions include Guy Powdrill, who becomes a director in the investment consulting team specialising in the West End. Niall Gallagher resigned from this team on Friday to join Farebrother.
