Neo Bankside residents file writ over Tate Modern viewing platform

A writ has been filed in the high court by five residents of Neo Bankside, claiming a breach of their human rights and near constant surveillance due to the Tate Modern extension’s viewing platform.

The viewing platform unreasonably interferes with the claimants’ enjoyment of their flats, according to documents filed by the residents.

Construction of the luxury flats began in 2009, also the year that the extension and viewing platform were approved. The developer, Native Land, is not thought to have raised any objections to the plans. The extension opened last June.
