Network Rail has taken 150,000 sq ft at the Groundwell Distribution Centre in Swindon.
The facility, on Stephenson Road, will be let at £530,000 per annum, with Norcros Group acting as sub-lessor.
Savills and Whitmarsh Lockhart acted for Norcros, Network Rail was unrepresented.]
Toby Green, director of industrial business space at Savills, said: “Norcros spent more than £1m on refurbishment at The Groundwell Distribution Centre to achieve a high-quality distribution warehouse and the deal to Network Rail, owner and operator of most of the UK’s rail infrastructure, is testament to the quality of the building.
“Network Rail required extra industrial space to support the high output electrification project on the line between Maidenhead and Cardiff.”
