Neville snaps up second hotel from Dalata

Irish hotelier Dalata Hotel Group has sold a second hotel in Wexford to family business Neville Hotels.

Following the sale of the 108-bedroom Maldron Hotel Wexford earlier this month, Dalata has now exchanged contracts to sell its 160-bedroom Clayton Whites Hotel in the Irish town to the group.

Neville Hotels has paid €21m (£17.6m) for the Clayton Whites Hotel.

Dermot Crowley, chief executive at Dalata, said: “The Clayton Whites Hotel Wexford has been a significant part of Dalata’s journey. The hotel has a strong management team in place and a proven track record of strong performance, providing me with confidence that it will continue to excel as part of Neville Hotels.”

Dalata said proceeds from both sales would be returned to shareholders.

Savills advised on the deal.
