The Barbican complex in the City is taking on new tenants in retail, leisure and entertainment. The Health & Tennis Corporation of America, advised by Landers, have taken 40,000 sq ft at £153,270 pa and will be spending about £2.6m in fitting-out. The club expects to open next April.
Jockelson White & Co, a stationery, print design and office equipment service company, were the first to move in, taking 28,000 sq ft at £128,700 pa. They were advised by Hillier Parker.
Other tenants include the Unicorn Heritage, who will be mounting a “Royal Britain exhibition” in their 35,000-sq ft unit, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, who are refurbishing a 13,580-sq ft unit for rehearsal rooms. Healey & Baker acted for the Barbican Estate Office in all the lettings.
