The number of affordable homes being built in the London area is at a record low, figures from the Greater London Authority show.
Affordable housing accounts for 25% of total new housing in London, down from 39% four years ago. During 2014/15, no affordable homes were built in the City of London, and just five were built in Richmond upon Thames. The number of affordable homes in Bromley actually fell, the result of the regeneration of a council estate.
At the opposite end of the scale, more than half of the new builds in Haringey, north London, were classed as affordable.
