Metro Bank branches in London’s Earls Court and Holborn are ready to open within a few weeks, reports The Daily Telegraph.
It would be the first new high-street bank for more than 100 years.
The newspaper says, however, that Vernon Hill, the entrepreneur behind the bank, has yet to secure a licence from the Financial Services Authority to operate here.
