The Dame Shirley Porter Westminster gerrymandering scandal has taken a new twist after the council uncovered assets worth “many millions of pounds” it claims belong to its former leader.
It has secured freezing orders for assets which it says are held by four people.
Fourteen companies and individuals have been ordered to disclose details of Porter’s wealth.
The case to recover the £37m surcharges owed by the Tesco heiress is now destined to return to the courts.
