US enzymes producer New England Biolabs has chosen MEPC’s Milton Park in Oxfordshire as its first overseas development and manufacturing hub.
The move follows the acquisition of UK-based Fluorogenics in May 2021, with a view to broadening the company’s lyophilised reagents offering and reducing logistical burdens.
New England Biolabs has signed up for 30,000 sq ft of space at 178 Brook Drive. MEPC has just finished redeveloping the building, with fit-out work currently on site and delivery scheduled towards the end of the year.
Philip Campbell, commercial director at MEPC Milton Park, said: “Launching the company’s first product development and manufacturing site outside the US signals growing confidence in the UK’s life sciences industry.”
