The government estimates that over 400,000 sq ft of industrial workspace will be created in a Cornwall industrial estate over the next decade after it unveiled funding for a new link road in the county.
Communities and Local Government Minister David Milliband today formally announced an EU objective one grant of £1.7m towards the construction of the £3.5m Barncoose link road.
The road will open up the existing 15-acre Barncoose Industrial Estate to further investment, according to Carleen Kelemen, director of Cornwall’s Objective One Partnership.
