New MoD property boss appointed

Graham-Dalton-1

The former chief executive of the Highways Agency, Graham Dalton, has been announced as the new head of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.

He will head the body, which manages infrastructure on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, on 10 October.

Dalton, a chartered civil engineer, had been chief executive of the Highways Agency for seven years and was recruited by Capita.

Briefing: Another 39 sites added to MoD sell-off

The MoD owns about 1% of the UK’s land mass and is pushing through a huge sell-off of sites, including sites with potential for thousands of homes.

Since leaving the Highways Agency last year he had worked as a consultant for the World Bank.

Dalton has also worked for Thameslink, Bovis Lend Lease Consulting, and Mouchel.
