McCarthy & Stone has appointed Geeta Nanda to its board as a non-executive director.
Nanda is chief executive of Thames Valley Housing Association.
In 2013, Nanda was awarded an OBE for achievements in social housing.
She will join two additional non-executive directors at the company: Mike Parsons, formerly chief executive officer of Barchester Healthcare; and Frank Nelson, formerly finance director of Galliford Try.
Nanda said: “We face a serious challenge in ensuring the adequate provision of housing for the UK’s ageing population and there is a significant opportunity for McCarthy & Stone to help address this issue.”
