Goals Soccer Centres said that its performance at sites in which it had invested in new pitches was improving but not enough to resume dividend payments or prevent a drop in underlying profit.
The five-a-side football operator, in which Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct is the largest single shareholder, is one of the largest providers of small-scale football arenas in Britain, with 46 venues, and three in Los Angeles.
It was founded in 1987 and its headquarters are in East Kilbride.
