New private partnership launched to ‘sell Liverpool to the world’

Liverpool Place Partnership and Liverpool BID Company have teamed up in a bid to “sell Liverpool to the world”.

Liverpool Place Partnership will be charged with supporting the local business community at events including London Real Estate Forum, MIPIM, UKREiiF in Leeds and Real Estate Live, while Liverpool BID Company will be responsible for creating opportunities across the city centre to improve it as a place in which to live, work and invest.

Bill Addy, chief executive of Liverpool BID Company (pictured above, right), said: “We know that the public purse is facing challenging times, yet we do not want the city to fall behind. The private sector has a powerful role to play in showcasing Liverpool on the global stage.”

Stephen Cowperthwaite, chair of Liverpool Place Partnership (left), added: “We look forward to working closely with the Liverpool BID team and its levy-payers as the city businesses play a vital role in supporting placemaking and investment that will benefit not just the city but also the wider city region.”
