New rent forms

The forms to be used when a landlord serves a tenant notice to pay rent due, or to remedy breaches to the terms and conditions of the tenancy, have been amended.

Since May 12, the three forms have included a prominent warning to the tenant that he or she must act quickly on receipt of the notice.

The notes on all three forms have also been divided into shorter paragraphs, where possible, to make then easier to read.

A further change provides for an application for the appointment of an arbitrator to determine questions arising from a notice to quit to be made by either landlord or tenant.
