New tenant signs up for Imperial’s White City Campus

A life sciences company has become the latest tenant to sign up for the growing Scale Space community at Imperial College London’s White City Campus.

Clinical Trials Laboratory Services is relocating from Park Royal to take 6,800 sq ft of laboratory and office space on a 10-year lease in Scale Space’s 60,000 sq ft wing. The company, owned by BioIVT, provides the life science industry with human biologicals collected via its own donor centre.

Scale Space, a joint venture between Blenheim Chalcot and Imperial, opened a 100,000 sq ft first phase last year, attracting more than 20 tenants. CTLS will take its space in its second wing, while planning approval has been granted for a further 40,000 sq ft of flexible laboratory and office space, with completion expected in April 2022.

Kelly Sapsford, CTLS’s general manager, said: “Companies like ours thrive when they’re at the heart of a vibrant life science and innovation community, and this is what Scale Space provides. It will enable us to connect directly into the thinking and teaching at Imperial College as well as life science businesses already on site and in Imperial’s Translation and Innovation Hub.”

JLL and Frost Meadowcroft acted for Scale Space, while the Workplace Company acted for CTLS.
