A survey of property prices worldwide shows house prices rose the most in Turkey, up 13.9%, and New Zealand, up 11.2%, although when inflation is stripped out, New Zealand takes top spot while Turkey falls to 13th place.
The UK came 24th in Knight Frank’s global rankings, recording house price growth of 5.2% in the year to June.
At the opposite end of the scale, prices fell 9.4% in Taiwan.
