Newcore Capital hires Patrizia MD as finance director

Investment manager Newcore Capital has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of a former managing director at Patrizia as its finance director.

Christine Milne will be responsible for the oversight of Newcore’s financial reporting and accounting.

The social infrastructure specialist has now made seven hires over the past six months. This follows the final close in May of its fifth value-add fund, Newcore Strategic Situations V, which raised £190m, and the launch of its new core-plus vehicle, the Newcore Sustainable Income Trust, which is due to launch by the end of the year and is looking to raise £375m in equity.

The business, set up in 2011 and led by chief executive Hugo Llewelyn and chief operating officer Neil Sarkhel, is wholly owned by its leadership team.

Milne brings more than 15 years of combined real estate experience, including roles at asset and development manager MEPC as well as investment manager Patrizia. Prior to this, Milne spent 10 years at PwC. She will be supported by Emma Brierley, who was appointed as finance manager in August.
