Gerald Eve promotes Prichard

Simon Prichard is set to replace Hugh Bullock as senior partner at Gerald Eve. Prichard, who is currently head of Gerald Eve’s City office and is a member of the board, will assume the top managerial role next April. Bullock will become chairman of the agent and continue to lead its planning and development practice. Prichard opened Gerald Eve’s City office in 1998.

Luxury flats at Canadian HQ

Westminster city council has approved plans by Mumbai-based developer Lodha Group to convert the Canadian High Commission’s former Mayfair offices into 41 flats. Approval for the MSMT Architects-designed scheme at Macdonald House, 1-3 Grosvenor Square, W1, also includes 53 car park spaces. The Canadian government sold the property to Lodha in November 2013 for C$530m (£306m). DP9 advised on planning.

IVG seeks £100m in Victoria

IVG has instructed Colliers International sell the West End HQ of multinational minerals company BHP Billiton for £100m – a 5% net initial yield. The 117,000 sq ft 1 Neathouse Place, SW1, will be sold on behalf of the Euro Select Fund 8. The office block will offer a major refurbishment opportunity when BHP’s lease expires in 2017.

Correction: Stainton

Last week Estates Gazette reported that Stainton had failed to complete on the purchase of a package of Highcross properties known as Project Hollywood. EG would like to clarify that Stainton did not make any offer for the portfolio and was never under offer on any of the properties. EG apologises for any confusion caused and for unintentionally maligning Stainton through wrongful accusation of failing to complete.
