Slough scheme bags first WELL award

Landid and Brockton Capital’s new office development in Slough, Berkshire, has become the first in the UK to achieve global healthy building rating WELL Building Standard certification. The 120,000 sq ft Porter Building is now classified as one of the UK’s healthiest office buildings.

Jamie’s Italian plans a dozen closures

Jamie Oliver Group plans to close 12 of its 35 UK Jamie’s Italian restaurants and seek rent reductions of 30% on a further eight as part of a CVA. The sites that are closing include restaurants in Bluewater, Kent; Bristol; Bath; and London. Creditors have until 9 February to vote on the proposals.

Industry mourns David Guest

BizSpace property director David Guest has died. He began his career as an office agent at Mason Owen, before going on to set up Bruntwood’s Liverpool office. At BizSpace he was responsible for the workspace provider’s business centres and parks.
