Nexus Estates has become the latest company to announce a change of name. The property company will now be known as Corpnex, after being refinanced by Henderson Private Capital.
Chief executive Vincent Wang said: “Nexus is a great name, but it is very ‘English’ and we encountered one or two conflicts with it on the continent.”
He hopes the new name, which is short for corporate nexus, will work better internationally. “It reflects the company’s single purpose – the office as a place to meet, to interact and to connect – a corporate nexus,” he said.
Corpnex now plans to take its designer business centre concept to Europe and is on the lookout for buildings in Munich, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin and Milan.
The firm has also appointed Nick Hayward and Rebecca Hollants van Loocke to its board.
