NHS Shared Business Services, a joint venture between the Department of Health and Social Care and French IT services company Sopra Steria, has become the second tenant to take space in 3 Waterside Place, situated on the harbour front at Town Quay, Southampton.
The NHS body has signed a lease for nine years on the second floor, totalling 5,415 sq ft, leaving the third floor of 5,266 sq ft as the only remaining vacant space in the building. Waterside Places’ owner RO Real Estate has recently refurbished the building.
The move follows the letting of the ground and first floors to EV Cargo Global Forwarding. Other occupiers on the wider estate include Faststream Recruitment and NMT International Shipping.
RO Real Estate asset management director Ed Davidson said: “This letting establishes a new headline rent at £23 per sq ft, with the quoting rent for the final, and arguably best floor, now at £24.50 per sq ft.
“We remain confident in the strength and depth of the Southampton office market – despite turbulence in the wider economy – not least in this location which offers all the benefits of city centre amenities in a more tranquil environment, with superb on-site parking.”
RO Real Estate was advised by CBRE and Vail Williams; NHS Shared Business Services was advised by Vail Williams.
