NHS Property Services has completed the sale of the former Old Manor Hospital in Salisbury, Wiltshire, for £4.1m.
The six-acre site, which includes two listed buildings, was bought by Bournemouth’s Quantum Group. The company plans to develop the former psychiatric hospital into an assisted-living complex.
James Wakeham, NHS Property Services’ regional director for the South, said: “This site is a gateway to the historic city of Salisbury and we were acutely aware of its importance to local people. We are therefore delighted to have concluded its sale – one of our largest so far – within our first 18 months of activity.”
JLL advised the vendor.
