Plans to develop 99 new homes on Bassetts Campus, a vacant NHS site in Orpington, south-east London, have been submitted to the council on behalf of NHS Property Services.

The outline planning application submitted for the six-acre brownfield site proposes properties ranging from one- to four-bedroom houses and a block of flats.

Andrew Strange, NHS Property Services’ head of planning and development, said: “Not only will the sale of Bassetts Campus benefit the NHS, it will also bring an empty site and a locally important building back into use, as well as providing a number of homes to help toward London’s growing demand for housing.”

Knight Frank has been appointed by NHS Property Services to market the site to developers with an informal guiding offer of £11.5m.
