The University of Worcester has appointed Nicholas Hare Architects to create a masterplan for a £100m development known as University Court.
Proposals for the development will be unveiled by the university later this month, ahead of a planning application submission in the autumn.
The plans include building new halls of residence alongside supporting facilities including additional teaching space. At least 40% of the Oldbury Road and Laugherne Brook site would be for public green space.
A public consultation exercise will start in Worcester next week. The university will then finalise its outline plans to be submitted to Malvern Hills District Council later this year.
