Nick Walkley is to step down as chief executive of Homes England.
He will leave the agency on 28 February, after almost four years at the helm.
During this time he led the relaunch of the Homes and Communities Agency as Homes England, with a mandate to support the government’s ambition to deliver 300,000 homes a year by the mid-2020s.
Chief investment officer Gordon More will act as interim chief executive, supported by chief financial officer Lynda McMullan and the executive team.
Walkley said: “My successor will find an organisation brimming with talent, purpose and heart. Homes England is well-positioned to support the country’s economic recovery and I wish my colleagues the very best.”
Peter Freeman, chairman of Homes England, added: “The country faces some crucial choices about how we emerge from the pandemic and Homes England stands ready to support the government in stimulating economic recovery and increasing housing supply.”
