Nido appoints new chair to spearhead growth drive
Student accommodation provider Nido Living has appointed Beatrice Lafon as chair of its newly established board.
The move comes as part of Nido’s strategic expansion plans, following its acquisition by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and transformation into a vertically integrated platform that encompasses development and investment activities alongside its operational expertise.
Lafon will lead a board composed of both CPP and Nido senior representatives and independent non-executives.

Lafon will lead a board composed of both CPP and Nido senior representatives and independent non-executives.
She has previously held non-executive director positions at several companies including Hôtel Les Campanules, L’Aiguille Percée, Hilding Anders Group, Spartoo and Cloud Nine Hair.
Lafon was also a founding member of the leadership council at AI firm causaLens and founder of the Business Intelligence Network, a UK-based retail consultancy firm. Her previous experience spans a variety of consumer brands, including advisory and senior roles at SuperDry, TM Lewin, Claire’s Accessories and Pizza Express Group.
