Nido launches building management app

PBSA giant Nido has launched a new app for residents across its portfolio.

The app, developed in partnership with Spike Global, will act as a “one-stop shop” for Nido’s student tenants, featuring direct online communications with the residence team, a calendar of upcoming events, reservation of amenity spaces, management of deliveries and maintenance requests, as well as promotions and deals.

Launched at the start of the new academic year, the app has so far been downloaded by 70% of Nido’s residents across the UK.

Nido’s chief operating officer Darren Gardner said the app was “a great milestone for the company”.

Spike Global chief executive Jeremy Heath-Smith said the app was designed to “help students find their feet”.

“Whatever worries they might have about the new term, managing their student accommodation won’t be one of them,” he said.
