Nikal launches construction arm

Housebuilding-THUMB.jpegManchester-based developer Nikal has launched a bespoke construction arm to deliver small to medium-sized building projects.

Nikal Special Projects, headed by Nikal construction director Mark Hopkins, will target developments up to £5m but also small fit-out schemes of £100,000 plus.

Hopkins said: “We believe there is a gap in the market for someone to deliver high-quality small and medium-sized projects – too big for a small builder but too small-scale for the large construction firms. This is a natural progression for us, something borne out of our own experience and frustration when we have had to get down and dirty to complete projects ourselves.

“We have developed our own direct supply chain, which means we can drive greater value and superior quality. We have employed administrative back-up and experience to deliver schemes efficiently and to the highest standard.”

Nikal managing director Nick Payne said: “This has been an organic process. We will always be focused on major town and city regeneration projects but see NSP as an important part of our growth strategy and commercial delivery.”
