Nikal/McLean unveils latest designs for Altrincham scheme

Developers Nikal and David McLean have revealed new images and a new name for their £120m mixed-use scheme in Altrincham, Cheshire.

The development, designed by Ian Simpson Architects, is to be known as Altair.

It contains 54,000 sq ft of offices, 161,000 sq ft of retail and leisure, a 3,000-seat ice arena, a 100-bed hotel and 150 residential units.

The developer is targeting high-end retailers for the scheme, to reflect Altrincham’s affluent catchment area.

The ice arena will be used by the Manchester Phoenix ice hockey team.

Cushman & Wakefield and Markham Vaughan Gillingham have been appointed as letting agents.
