Nimmo joins St Modwen as non-executive director

Dame Alison Nimmo is set to join St Modwen as a non-executive director on 1 February.

The former Crown Estate chief will join the audit, nomination and remuneration committees of the board.

Nimmo was chief executive of the Crown Estate between 2012 and 2019. She previously held senior roles relating to the London 2012 Olympic Games for more than eight years, becoming director of design and regeneration at the Olympic Delivery Authority.

Prior to this, she led major regeneration projects in Sheffield and Manchester as a consultant at KPMG. She was awarded a CBE for services to urban regeneration in 2004, and a DBE for public services and services to the Exchequer in 2019.

Nimmo is also a non-executive director at housebuilder Berkeley Group.

Danuta Gray, chair of St Modwen, said: “Dame Alison’s appointment adds exceptional experience to an already strong board and further contributes to the diversity of our membership.

“Her blend of background skills means she is well suited to support, nurture and positively challenge the delivery of our strategy.”
