A provider of low-cost homes in deprived areas of northern England sold a record number of properties last year and said it was on track to hit its target of doubling output within five years.
MJ Gleeson said it built 1,225 homes in the year to the end of June, more than 20% higher than the previous year, when it built 1,013.
The amount of land that it owned or had conditionally bought rose by just over 10% to 12,852 plots with a further 354 sites in the pipeline to be acquired.
