Restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa, entrepreneur BS Ong and film star Robert De Niro have signed up for their second Mayfair site. The men behind the famous Nobu restaurant at the Metropolitan hotel, Park Lane, W1, have taken 8,000 sq ft at 15 Berkeley Street, W1 – formerly home to the Mayfair Club – from City Site Estates, paying £525,000 pa. They will open a new restaurant/lounge bar, with a capacity for 500 and a 2am licence. Knight Frank advised Nobu; Davis Coffer Lyons advised City Site.
