NOMA has appointed a contractor to bring forward Hanover, the £34m office refurbishment project in Manchester which was delayed after a fire damaged the building in 2015.
The joint venture between the Co-op and Hermes Investment Management, has appointed Russells Construction to deliver the refurbishment, with a target completion date of August 2018.
The 109,000 sq ft development was originally due to complete in 2016. However, a fire which broke out in October 2015 caused considerable damage, delaying the scheme.
Hanover will comprise 91,000 sq ft of offices and 18,000 sq ft. of retail and leisure.
Once complete, NOMA hopes to attract a range of creative and technology firms to the city centre’s emerging innovation district in the Northern Quarter.
