Welsh Development Agency has secured a £6m investment from Nordam Europe. The new company – a joint venture between Nordam Group and GE Aircraft Engine Services – intends building a (9,290 sq m) 100,000 sq ft facility at Hawtin Park near Blackwood, Caerphilly, to service aircraft parts across the European Union.
The investment follows the announcement earlier this year that General Electric Corp. USA is investing £27m at their Nantgarw base to develop a facility for overhauling the new GE90 aircraft engine.
