The average price of a home in the East Lothian town of North Berwick rose by 11% last year to £327,124, making it Scotland’s most expensive seaside town, a Bank of Scotland report reveals.
Second most expensive was St Andrews, where the average price of a home was £302,536.
House price growth in Scotland’s seaside towns outpaced that for the UK as a whole, the Seaside Towns Review showed. The average price in Scotland rose by 39% in the 10 years to 2015, compared with a 32% increase in the UK.
