North East’deserves more regional funding’

The north-east has a fair claim to more regional funding but London does not, argues Peter Robinson, chief economist, at the Institute for Public Policy Research, in the Financial Times.

An analysis in The Guardian says Scotland, “which may seem to be the poor relation of the wealthy south-east of England”, spends more than the north-east.
