Northern Trust unveils plans for Chorley industrial scheme

Investor and developer Northern Trust has unveiled plans for a 6,326 sq m (68,100 sq ft) industrial park in Chorley, Lancashire.

The development will front the town’s new bypass – the Gillibrand Link Road, on which construction will start next year.

Part of the plans include reconfiguring an existing 3,576 sq m (38,500 sq ft) building to provide two units. And on an adjacent site, the developer is speculatively developing industrial space units totalling 2,750 sq m (29,600 sq ft), consent permitting.

Construction will commence shortly with units available by spring 2000.

The developer’s 2323 sq m (25,000 sq ft) second phase of it neighbouring office scheme Ackhurst Park is also now nearing completion.

Northern Trust owns 511,000 sq m (5.5m sq ft) of mainly industrial space in 150 UK locations.
