Nottingham regeneration chief resigns

Marc Cole, the chief executive of Nottingham Regeneration Limited (NRL), has resigned from the company to take up a new role on the east coast.

Cole, who has been at the helm of NRL for two years, is leaving to become executive director of regeneration at North East Lincolnshire Council, covering the areas of Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham.

The 45-year old, who was also director of regeneration at Bradford Centre Regeneration before he went to Nottingham, will leave NRL in late spring.

He said: “I have enjoyed my time here in Nottingham and am sorry to be leaving the city.  However, the move will put me nearer to family and friends and I am looking forward to spending more time with them.  I feel the time is right to tackle a new challenge elsewhere.”

Cole became chief executive of NRL in January 2007, after three years in Bradford.
