The number of Britons enquiring about houses in Spain jumped by more than a third in April as they resumed searches for holiday homes after the pandemic restrictions.
Estate agents received 36% more calls and e-mails from would-be buyers from the UK in April than they did a year earlier, Rightmove said.
No other country had such a sharp pick-up in demand, but enquiries from UK buyers across all overseas countries were up 18% annually.
