Number of Scottish households renting triples

Some 14% of Scottish households live in privately rented accommodation, triple the level in 1999.

The number of owner-occupiers in 2015, at 61%, was unchanged from 1999 but off a peak of 66% reached in 2009, the Scottish Household Survey showed.
