Weatherby-based Oakgate Group has paid Littlewoods a rumoured £4m for a department store at 61/71 Church Street, Blackpool, Lancashire, which it plans to redevelop completely.
The 3,251 sq m (35,000 sq ft) building – the first Littlewoods shop in the UK – will be split into three smaller units, two of which have already been pre-let to Halifax Building Society and JJB Sports at rents of £85 zone A.
Littlewoods is relocating to a larger unit in Blackpool’s Old Tower shopping centre.
