Property consultancy Ober Haus Real Estate Co is opening its first office in Riga, Latvia, as part of its expansion drive in the Baltic region. The company already has six offices in Estonia.
According to chairman Paul Oberschneider: “By the end of this year we will have several offices in Riga city centre and in the suburbs.” The first office has a staff of four, including American-Latvian Laila Svelpe, the new managing director of Latvia operations, and Inga Meiere, who will be in charge of Latvia’s valuations services.
Vice chairman Peter Gage Morris, who is overseeing expansion into Latvia and Lithuania, said: “We intend to offer the same services that built the firm’s success in Estonia – mainly professional property brokerage and real estate appraisals.”
In April, US investors Apollo Real Estate and Pelham Partners invested 43m croons in Ober Haus Real Estate Co, which also has development and project management operations.
