Pioneering British architect David Mackay, who ‘gave back the sea’ to the people of Barcelona, has died aged 80.
He masterminded the regeneration of Barcelona’s waterfront and the transformation of its status as 1980s industrial wasteland to the cafe culture icon of the 1990s and 2000s.
