Edmund Brudenell, who spent nearly three decades painstakingly restoring his Deene Park estate near Corby, has died aged 85.
The heir to the Earls of Cardigan inherited the dilapidated shell of the Northampton country house in 1962 and over the next thirty years brought the neglected carcass back to its former splendour.
